Oh, NO, She didn't!?!?

Well, Little Miss Jamie decided she just couldn't wait any longer to look like Taylor and Mommy. For a while now, she has been asking if she could get her hair cut. I don't know why she just couldn't wait. She had the cutest hair.....it was long and curly.

This is her just the other day when we played in the snow. Well, today, I left the house (first mistake). While Jamie was supposed to be taking a nap, Dave was watching a movie...we trust our children in their bedroom by themselves...usually. Now she usually messed around, looks at books and plays with her toys, but today she wanted to play "haircut". She didn't say anything about it.....and me, mommy, didn't notice anything different, until Kim came to pick her kids up.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! What did you do???? The back of her hair was still long, but the sides were noticeably shorter when she was playing around with Kim. I seriously wanted to cry...and when Kim left with her boys, I did.
I love Jamie's curls. I loved Taylor's, too, when she had them. I cried when I had to cut Taylor's hair because of a huge knot she had in it. I cried tonight because my little girl didn't want to have her little girl hair anymore.
Jamie was terrified she'd get a spanking and she cried when I called Dave to tell him what had happened. I realize it 's just hair and Jamie was just being creative....wanting to be like her sister and mommy and have short hair. No spanking tonight...I think we all were a little shocked tonight by it, though. I finished what was left of the long pieces and tried to make it look the best I could. Tomorrow will we be going to the hairdressers though.



After I managed to get control of my emotions and Jamie realized mommy was okay with the haircut, she was happy too.



She's happy, but look how short it is!!!! She looks like Taylor from the back! I already call them by the wrong name...now it's really going to mess me up. :) Oh well, what are you going to do?
